Nils-Erik Mattsson

Studies at Hovedskous Målarskola, Göteborg (1972-73), Valands Konsthögskola, Gbg (1973-80), Högskolan i Skövde (91), Fri Konst & Nya Media, Valands Konsthögskola (2000-01) and Grafikfördjupning, Valand (02-03 ).

Debut exhibition separately at Tidaholms Konsthall 1978. After that about thirty separate exhibitions at Ulricehamns Museum, Galleri Oijens, Grafik i Väst, Galleri Öhström and Göteborgs Konstförening in Gothenburg, Galleri Boj in Stockholm, Galleri du Nord and Flaménska galleriet in Borås, Lidköpings Konsthall, Stadhuskuben, Stadhuskuben in Falkenberg and Grafikrummet in Örebro.

Nils-Erik Mattsson has participated in about 80 group exhibitions over the years at Galleri am Savignyplatz, Berlin 1978, Frölunda Kulturhus, Gothenburg, Kulturhuset in Stockholm, Grafiktriennalen in Malmö, Konstnärshuset in Stockholm, Skövde Konsthall, Eskilstuna Konstmuseum, Borås and Gotlands Art Museums, Gothenburg Art Museum, Grafiska Sällskapet, Stockholm, International Graphic Symposium in Tidaholm, Tidaholms Konsthall, Grafiktriennalen in Stockholm, Höganäs Museum, Konstlitografiska Museet in Tidaholm, Galerie Raskolnikow in Dresden, Germany and Galleri Astley in Skinnskatteberg.

NIls-Erik Mattsson has received a large number of assignments for public decoration, including floor mosaics for Sahlgrenska Hospital in Gothenburg, murals for Bassjukhuset in Falköping and in stairwells in Karlsborg, ceiling paintings in Älmestad's school in Ulricehman, laminated glass and murals for Saga Teaterbiografen, Tidah Teatermiografen Limestone and bronze sofas for HJo city, Water sculpture for Marbäck village in Ulricehamn municipality and Mural for Castello de Gaiche in Perugia, Italy - some of the works have been made in collaboration with other artists.
Represented at the art museums in Gothenburg and Skövde.
